On 1st March, 1915, the 14th London battalion, then part of 1 Brigade, 1st Division, were in Brigade reserve at Epinette, near Le Touret. That night a working party was sent to the trenches to strengthen the parapet at Brewery Post and while doing so James Davie was killed. |
